Being an actor is a tough job. Many people don’t seem to think that this is true because what they see on television are only the perks of being a celebrity. Fans only see fame and fortune, but behind-the-scenes, actors struggle with a lot of sleepless nights and missed family time. Tears and sweat (and lack of sleep) are foundation of a celebrity’s success. Sometimes, that means working so hard that you forget to take care of yourself. For instance, just in this year alone, Alden Richards has been to the hospital at least twice.

The actor has been rushed to the hospital recently for alleged food poisoning. Many of his fans were shocked by his hasty goodbye on one of his shows but it was later revealed by co-Dabarkads host Ruby Rodriguez that the pain in his stomach was too much to ignore. Alden went to the hospital to get himself checked and treated.

“For everyone asking bakit biglang nagpaalam si @aldenrichards02 kanina sa trip he was na food poison and had to go for check up. Pasensya po tao lang di kinaya ang sakit ng tyan.“

The tweet was then flooded by messages of concern for the actor. His fans also assured the actor and his love team partner Maine Mendoza that they would always be there for them if they need help. They also thanked Ruby for giving them an update because a lot of them must’ve been worried. Alden Richard’s passionate fan base is understandably upset because who would ever want their idol to be sick.
