If you ask someone you know is afraid of the water on how they developed it, there will certainly be a person whose answer would be “Jaws.” The terrifying movie that haunted every little kid and the scary CGI great white shark made us hesitate to go swim in the ocean for fear that the same thing might happen to us. But in real life, they will say that getting eaten by a shark is so unlikely due to the fact that they don’t like how we taste.

These amazing creatures only have a “nibble” of their potential prey just to “taste” them. If they don’t like it, then they leave it alone.Culum Brown from Macquarie University stated:

“Studies show they respond strongly to the smell of seals and fish, but not humans. The trouble with sharks is that they are inquisitive and when checking out a potential prey item they typically come up and have a nibble. Of course, if a 4m white shark has a nibble on you, it’s likely to be life-threatening. If they don’t like what they taste they leave.”

But when three friends went deep-sea fishing and caught a tiger shark, they were shocked to see the contents of the creature’s stomach. According to report from Danified, Humphrey Simmons, Keith Ferguson, and Stanley Bernard shot one in the head and hung it on a hook by its tail.

That was the moment when they found a human leg coming out from the mouth of the 12-foot mammal! The three men then began to smell something worse from inside its belly and thought that there might be more bodies inside. Slicing its stomach open, there was indeed one body that the police assumed to belong to Judson Newton, a missing sailor.

According to reports, Newton, a 43-year-old man, went on boating trip with his comrades at Jaws Beach located in New Providence Island. The group then allegedly had engine trouble which prompted rescuers to search for them. Based on their investigation, Newton attempted to swim back to shore. Unfortunately, he has not been found. It was on September 4 when the tiger shark was caught. According to an article published by the Daily Mail, the sea creature regurgitated a human leg.

The person to whom the limbs belong to hasn’t been properly identified yet and Assistant Police Commissioner Hulan Hanna is still waiting for the confirmation from a DNA test.
