To those people who do not believe that Jesus Christ existed, better think twice now and just believe that the Jesus Christ once came to earth to save us from all our sins. In the holy Bible, it was stated that Jesus Christ tomb was sealed by a huge stone and was opened three days after he died for his resurrection. The said stone was again rolled back to it’s proper place until today where experts agree to reopen the tomb for reconstruction.

According to Archaeologist Fredrik Hiebert of National Geographic, the shrine where the sacred tomb of Christ is located has been destroyed many times and now needs a much-needed reconstruction. However, the reconstruction is not as easy as everyone expected because before moving anything from the shrine, the decision requires permission from the committee in charge of the pilgrimage site.

“Everything has to be approved by the committee, so even changing a candle takes a long time. There is a ladder by the main entrance to the church that hasn’t moved in 240 years, and they still haven’t reached a decision. It’s called the immovable ladder. So the fact we were finally allowed to carry out this work is a triumph of negotiation,” Hiebert said. After half a century, archaeologists finally got the permission from the church to open Jesus Christ tomb and examine it.

Inside the tomb, a marble slab was discovered where the scientists believe as the final resting place of Jesus Christ’s body before he resurrected. It took 35 experts and 60 hours to remove the dirt from the mable slab, collect mortar and document the process.

“The most amazing thing for me was when we removed the first layer of dust and found a second piece of marble. This one was gray, not creamy white like the exterior, and right in the middle of it was a beautifully inscribed cross. We had no idea that was there,” Hiebert said. As of now, the team has collected enough data in order to begin the virtual reconstruction of tomb.
