Willie Revillame is one of the most famous hosts in the field of show business. He was a sidekick, actor, and drummer, before he ventured into hosting. He was one of the main hosts of ABS-CBN’s “Magandang Tanghali Bayan” which eventually became “Masayang Tanghali Bayan” and eventually “Wowowee”. Willie was also known for putting some of his show’s dancers in the spotlight. One of the lucky girls who became well-known because of Willie was Mariposa.

Rovielyn Cabigquez in real life, Mariposa was also one of the original MTB Dancers. She became one of Willie’s prized dancers along with Luningning (Lea Carla Santos) and Milagring (Annaliza Baldonado). It was Willie Revillame who named her Mariposa. Her signature moves are the booty shake and varieties of splits.

Even if she has already left the limelight, she remained close to the famous host and to her fellow dancers. She also did not leave dancing to maintain her sexy physique.

What many people do not know is that despite not being seen on TV nowadays, Mariposa, together with fellow dancers, ventured into business and opened their own laundry shop.

On October 21, 2016, Mariposa, with Luningning and Milagring, reunited with their Kuya Wil as they guested on GMA7’s “Wowowin”.

It seems like because of a long time friendship with Willie, Mariposa and the two other dancers acquired Willie’s humor and generosity, of course. Together with other guest dancers, the three decided to give the audiences their talent fees that they should be getting for guesting on the show.

Also, like the old times, Mariposa and her friends did not fail to amuse the audience with their graceful dancing. It is like they never get old when it comes to grooving on the dance floor.

Right now, aside from managing their business, Mariposa is also helping her siblings by taking care of her nieces and nephews.
