MAXENE MAGALONA INAMIN NA NARAMDAMAN DIN NIYA NA NANDOON SI FRANCIS MAGALONA SA KANYANG KASAL!

It is often said, in some cultures, that butterflies are the spirits of our departed loved ones. If so, then it’s nice to think that Maxene Magalona wasn’t alone when she walked down the aisle – before meeting her mom in the middle and her now-husband Rob Mananquil at the altar.

It’s been a few years since Maxene’s dad, the legendary Francis Magalona AKA “FrancisM” and “Master Rapper,” passed away after suffering from leukemia. To feel her father’s presence, Maxene used one of her father’s classic hits “Girl Be Mine” when she walked slowly on the nave. She shared her wedding march video on her Instagram page, along with the caption:

“It’s every girl’s dream to be given away by their father on their wedding day. Unfortunately, my dad Francis Magalona (francismagalona) passed away in 2009 due to leukemia so for my wedding march, I chose to walk down the aisle to one of his songs entitled, “Girl Be Mine.”

“Little did I know that he would actually be there with me in the form of a brown butterfly which flew right by me before I met my mom in the middle of the aisle. If you look closely, you’ll see it in this video beautifully captured by Allan Diones (allan_diones).”

The actress also mentioned her beloved hubby in her caption, saying that he was visibly excited while the song played on.

“Spot Rob Mananquil (robmananquil) jumping up and down in excitement and rocking to my dad’s song.”

Netizens were touched by Maxene’s post, with many expressing in the comments section that they were also missing the iconic Filipino artist. Some also claimed that the song was their favorite among her father’s hits.
