The period of 90’s to early 2000’s saw the proliferation of action movies and sexy flicks that capitalized on the viewers’ penchant for thin plot lines and fantasies. As more and more female celebrities took the risk in shedding their clothes for more skin and titillating performances in intimate scenes, the sexy route was the only way to success. And that includes actress Katya Santos, who was once part of the youth-oriented show “Ang TV” that made stars out of children.

Barely in her teens, Katya joined the cast of the now-defunct afternoon show that popularized the statement, “Anong oras na? Ang TV na!” She eventually did comedy and drama showcasing her prowess as a child actress.

However, as Katya got older, she decided to ditch the wholesome image for an aggressive one – that of a seductive temptress. She signed on to be part of Viva Hot Babes, an all-female group comprised of other sultry models and performers.

It was in 2003 when she did her first ‘bold’ movie, “Sukdulan,” when she was barely out of her teens. It was a steamy flick denounced by the Catholic Church for its brazenness, further piquing the curiosity of menfolk.

Following this, Katya was hailed “Materyales Fuertes” for her well-endowed assets. She eventually graced the cover of a men’s magazine that almost left nothing to the imagination. However, her showbiz career suffered a steady decline as she played smaller roles on-screen.

Back in 2013, Katya married Anton delos Reyes, a coaching staff member of Mapua’s collegiate basketball team. That same year, the newlyweds were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Tala.

A quick look on her Instagram account reveals how she juggles motherhood to her four-year-old and her career. In between these two major responsibilities, Katya still finds time to work on her fitness.
