Some actors are born with a face and physique that ultimately makes them the perfect villain. You could easily recognize a kontrabida just by looking at him or her. In the local scene, Gardo Versoza is one celebrity who falls under this category.

But this villainous persona is only when the cameras are rolling, in real life, Gardo is one of the sweetest and most inspiring actors to walk the earth.

Proof of this is the formation of the actor’s bike group called Cupcake Bikers 143 that has helped people in need.

It started out as a hobby for the actor but he felt that it could be used for something more, mostly to help sick children get treatment. Gardo would arrange charity rides whose profits would go straight to the families that need their help.

One of these fortunate kids was Hannah Scarlet Snow Cua who was diagnosed with Hemangioendothelioma, a tumor caused by the abnormal growth of blood vessel cells.

Hannah’s family needed help to pay for the little girl’s operation and it was Gardo’s Cupcake Bikers that came through for them.

In an episode of GMA-7 “Mars” dedicated to the actor and his inspiring efforts, a touching letter was written by Rodelyn Hernandez, Hannah’s mother, to thank him for everything he has done for her family.

When he heard her words of gratitude, Gardo couldn’t help but be emotional because he is proud of the things the group has achieved.
