Experiencing s*xual abuse of any kind is something that will permanently scar a woman for life. Aside from the physical manifestations of abuse, it also leaves a gaping hole in the victim’s sense of self-worth. 

What’s more disturbing is that most acts of abuse nowadays start at home. Take this teen daughter’s case for example.

Earlier this week, a teenager came to light on Facebook with her appalling story of abuse. This is not the first time that victims use social media as a platform to seek help, but what’s more disturbing is that this teen’s abuser is none other than her own father.

Hiding behind the pseudonym “Cherry,” the 19-year-old teen daughter recalled how her own biological father took advantage of her. 

The horrifying abuse started when she was just six years old and has continued on a daily basis until she reached grade six.

Filled with confusion and fright, Cherry had no other choice but to keep her father’s sick “nightly rituals” to herself. Even as she grew older, she never got the courage to reveal her traumatic experiences to her mom. When her mom died recently, the teen daughter was riddled with guilt and regret.
