Can you imagine what being constipated all your life feels like? Not being to defecate properly as you grow up? This unfortunate 22-year-old man was reportedly suffering from constipation ever since he was born. As we all know, it’s not safe to keep all of this human waste inside one’s body.

According to a report by Daily Mail, the congestion was too great that it made this unidentified Chinese man look like a pregnant woman.

Doctors were convinced that this person had Hirschsprung’s disease. According to Mayo Clinic’s website, the “disease is a condition that affects the large intestine (colon) and causes problems with passing stool.” Essentially, the nerve cells in the victim’s colon don’t completely form, making it difficult for the patient to defecate. Hirschsprung’s disease affects one out of 5,000 infants.

One of the complications regarding this disease is that those who are affected by it “are prone to a serious intestinal infection called enterocolitis.” Enterocolitis is life-threatening but it can still be treated with colon-cleaning and antibiotics.

The Chinese man went to the hospital and had a surgery to remove 30 inches from his bowels that were filled to bursting with human waste. It was reported that they managed to remove 28 pounds of feces from the patient by surgically removing a section of his colon.

It was done in the Tenth People’s Hospital in China and the procedure took three hours to complete. His doctors said that the volume of toxins stuck in his gut was too much that it looked like it was about to burst. 

When they removed the affected part of the colon, the doctors also had to stitch it up to prevent the waste from flowing out.
