Recently, two outstanding reporters – one a Kapamilya and the other a Kapuso – defied expectations. Kapamilya Jacque Manabat and Kapuso Jun Veneracion were spotted covering transportation updates at the exact same time in Araneta Cubao Station.

Jacque took to social media to share the anomalous occurrence while tagging Jun’s official Facebook account.

Many netizens expressed admiration for Jacque and Jun for their professionalism amid their respective networks’ heated rivalry.

Jacue and Jun were issuing reports to let people know the current situation in bus terminals during peak season. They both gamely struck a pose and took a photo with each other while holding their network-marked microphones.

More often than not, most people assume that employees from rival networks don’t get along with each other in real life. But these two set aside their differences to remember what a journalist’s job is – to serve the people by informing them of current events supported by the facts.

Journalists and reporters are always on-duty and ready to cover a story at the drop of a hat. Thus, it wasn’t a huge shock that two reporters from rival networks happened to be covering the exact same story at the exact same time in the exact same place.
