Every married couple has their own strategy on how to manage the household income and expenses. This is a crucial matter because financial instability is one of the main causes of marriage struggles and discontent. For celebrity couple Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo, however, it needs not be a major problem in the household.

On her January 8, 2018-guesting in the morning show Magandang Buhay, Judy Ann Santos divulged various ways to keep a marriage happy, based on her own experience. One aspect she shared is how she and her husband manages the household’s cash flow.

Juday revealed that she and Ryan do not pool all of their money together like other couples do. She relayed that one party is not aware how much the other is earning.

“Pera ko, pera ko. Pera niya, pera ko. Siguro mas nag-work sa amin ‘yung ‘di ko tinatanong kung magkano income niya at gano’n din siya sa akin,” Judy Ann said.

However, Ryan does remit to her a certain amount of money every month, which she budgets for their household and leisure spending:

“Pero may iniintriga lang siya sa akin, ‘yung monthly. Basta ‘yun sagrado ‘yun. Meron kaming multiple accounts, may pang-travel, na ‘pag may ekstrang pera, dun kami naghuhulog ng ipon. May joint, for emergency purposes, and then may expenses. Tapos bahala na siya sa buhay niya sa iba niyang pera,” she added.

This style of finance management seems to be growing in popularity. Another celebrity couple, Solenn Heusaff and Nico Bolzico do the same — they have a joint account for house dues, but not all of their money is funneled there. Solenn doesn’t know how much Nico earns, and vice versa.
