SANGGOL NA MAY KAKAIBANG SAKIT PINUKAW ANG ATENSYON NG MARAMI AT NGAYON AY NANGANGAILANGAN NG DALIANG TULONG!

With the worldwide reach of Facebook, many desperate netizens resort to seeking help from strangers on social media. Geralden Baduya, an aggrieved mother from Quezon City, tried reaching out to her fellow Facebook users about her newborn son’s congenital disorder. Little did she know, her post would reach thousands within a matter of days.

According to the aggrieved mother, her son is suffering from a congenital disorder called Achondroplasia, a bone-growth disorder resulting in dwarfism. During her first ultrasound, the condition was identified by their OB-sonologist upon seeing that the baby’s extremities were too short.

The news was heartbreaking for the parents, to say the least. When they went to an OB-perinatologist for a second opinion, it was with a heavy heart that the second doctor confirmed the findings from the first ultrasound.

As parents, of course, nothing could hinder them from loving their child — not even a congenital disorder. On January 18, at around 9:15 a.m., Geralden delivered her baby via c-section.

The baby’s parents couldn’t be any happier to finally welcome their child to the world. As narrated by Geralden, she was still in the operating room when a hospital staff member woke her up to tell her about her baby’s condition.

The sonologist was correct – the baby was born with short extremities. At this point, she was still lightheaded from the medication, so she couldn’t understand what the staff member was saying. When she was finally shown her son, the woozy mom kissed him and then went back to sleep.

The next day, the baby’s concerned father confronted her about their newborn infant’s condition. According to him, staff from the pediatrics ward said that their baby didn’t cry during delivery and he appears to be struggling without oxygen support. Furthermore, the poor child was reportedly suffering from complications in his lungs and kidneys.

Currently, the baby is confined at the ICU and is undertaking multiple tests.

Seeing her child’s current condition was painful for Geralden, so much so that she couldn’t help but cry. But she has to stay strong for her son, so she’s now pleading for assistance from anyone who is willing to help. Thus, she narrated her situation on Facebook.

To cap off her long-winded post, the mom urged netizens to like and share her story in the hopes that charitable foundations would get wind of her baby’s condition and come to his aid. Aside from the financial relief, they are also asking for prayers for their baby’s recovery.
