SIYA PALA ANG LALAKI NA NAGPA-USO NG SIKAT NA SIKAT NA "PASOK MGA SUKI" AT ITO PALA TALAGA ANG ORIGINAL!
Are you familiar with the song “Pasok Mga Suki?” You might have stumbled on a video of it on social media or on YouTube, where several people are seen dancing to its admittedly catchy beat. The one who originally came up with it was Sammy Leuterio, who is a 50-year-old seller in Divisoria.
His story was shared by magazine show “Rated K” through ABS-CBN News, where Korina Sanchez and her team interviewed the seller.
They cited that Mang Sammy was a resident of Tacloban, Leyte. He moved to Divisoria, Manila when he was 30 years old. Mang Sammy sold clothes in the area but their supervisor wanted them to sing in order to attract more buyers.
On a regular day, Mang Sammy earns around PHP 350. He uses this amount to create and sell wallets of his own.
When Mang Sammy performed his “Pasok Mga Suki” song in his Divisoria stall, people immediately flocked to him and shared it on social media. Mang Sammy shared that he uses a megaphone to lure buyers.
According to him, “Sa loob po ng isang taon, dalawang megaphone po naipapalit niyan.”
When he was interviewed by Korina, the host introduced him to a group of young dancers who performed an interpretation of Sammy Leuterio’s song. It was also given another twist when others provided a beat whilst singing.
The song is constantly repeated in a catchy manner. The line of “presyong Divisoria” states that their products are cheap and affordable. This is due to the fact that Divisoria is recognized for selling products at the lowest prices available. Oftentimes, buyers also haggle to reach a certain price that would be considered “sulit.”
