Gladys Reyes is one of the newest celebrity mothers to have earned the public’s admiration with her stance on breastfeeding. In her post on Instagram dated Jan. 24, 2018, the actress shared pictures of herself while breastfeeding her youngest, baby Gavin Cale.

According to GMA Entertainment, the shot was taken hours before she renewed her wedding vow to her husband, Christopher Roxas.

In a previous report, it was mentioned that the two renewed their vows after being in a relationship for 25 years (including their dating days). The ceremony was held in Tagaytay City, where her longtime showbiz friend, Judy Ann Santos, was present.

Based on Gladys’ post, she stayed in the Taal Vista Hotel before the ceremony. Her caption indicated that she’s a very dedicated and loving mother throughout – even feeding her child before she attended to her wifely duties.That’s not all, though. She also mentioned that she wouldn’t be too busy to cuddle with another one of her sons, Grant Carlin.

Of course, netizens lauded her dedication and with it, her open stance in breastfeeding. People have the tendency to bash or lambast celebrity mothers (and even non-celebs) for posting pictures of themselves while breastfeeding their children, especially in public.

Other celebrity mothers who support breastfeeding are Mariel Rodriguez, Pauleen Luna, and Marian Rivera.In an interview with Philippine Daily Inquirer, Marian said that there’s nothing wrong with fulfilling her obligations as a mother – and that includes breastfeeding, be it in public or not.

She said, “You can’t bash me for doing my obligation as a mother. Alangan namang sabihin ko, ‘Wait lang, anak, naka-gown ako, mamaya na lang after three hours.'”Now though, Gladys Reyes has joined their ranks with her recent pictures of breastfeeding. It might not be in a public place but the mere fact that she took it to social media equates to that effect.
